EV Charger Instructions
The J1772 EV Charger is located on the Northeast side of the house by the driveway. It is normally on and ready to use. If not, you can turn on by locating the EV circuit breaker in the breaker panel in the basement and turning on. The breaker is on the top right, two circuits together. Flip inward, to the left, to turn on.
Once on, you can use the key located in the in the bar, to the left of the shelf with XC ski passes, to unlock the charger and charge your car. The key only needs to be used once to turn on the charger when your car is plugged in. Then you can remove and replace the key to the lockbox. The car will continue charging until done, and then the charger will be locked again.
Make note or take a picture of the starting kWh on the meter, and the ending kWh on the meter. Enter the starting and ending kWh, and pay for the total, using the button below. Cost is $.25 per kWh, with a minimum payment of $1.00.
This charger is rated for 40 amp at 240 volts, or 9.6KW.
